All About Reading Placement Test

This placement test consists of two parts. Accurate placement depends on completing both portions of the test according to the instructions provided.

Part 1 - Reading Assessment: Your student will read one or more story excerpts. You will be asked to assess your student's fluency and comprehension.

Part 2 - Skills Assessment: After determining the student's reading level, the student will be tested on a series of level-specific skills

Follow the steps below to complete the test:

  1. A parent or teacher must complete the entire test with the student. The student should not work independently.
  2. Follow the prompts at the bottom of each page until you have completed the entire test. Placement guidelines will be provided at the end of the test.
  3. Click "Continue" to begin the test.
