Looking for a fun way to review phonograms? “Swatting Phonograms” is a fantastic hands-on activity that your child will love! It’s fast paced, engaging … and just a little bit gross. Perfect!
Arrange a selection of bug phonograms on the floor or table. (This might be the only time you don’t mind having bugs on your kitchen table!) Be sure to select only the phonograms that your child has learned.
Say the name and/or sound of a phonogram and have your child find the phonogram and “swat” it with the swatter.
Keep going until all the phonograms have been swatted. Repeat any phonograms that your child had trouble with.
There is no limit to the fun that you can have with your swatter. Here are three more ideas:
Can you think of more fun ways to use your swatter? Leave a comment!
