All About Math Level 5 is the final of five levels in a delightful, multisensory program that carefully builds children’s understanding of how our number system works. This new level builds upon the foundation laid in All About Math Levels 1, 2, 3, and 4, introducing multiplication and division of fractions and decimals, generating and analyzing graphs and coordinate grids, exponents, and much more!

The All About Math Teacher’s Manual will feel familiar and like an old friend to those who are accustomed to All About Reading and All About Spelling. The layout is the same, with each lesson starting with a Before You Begin section to prepare you for what will be taught, then moving into Review of previous concepts before the New Teaching is presented. Lessons are open-and-go and fully scripted for busy parents, teachers, and tutors so that you will know exactly what to say and do to make the concepts understandable for your student.
The All About Math Level 5 Student Packet includes a Gallop into Math Activity Book, Calina’s Math Tools, and a set of themed stickers.
Each level comes with a student book filled with hands-on activities to keep your child engaged and motivated with learning. These are the colorful, fun, multisensory activities All About® Learning Press is known for.
In addition to activities for each lesson, the All About Math Level 5 Activity Book also includes the level’s Daily Review Tracker, Calina’s Math Fun! games, Math Practice pages, story problem pages, periodic progress monitoring sheets for parents, and the Progress Chart and Certificate of Achievement.
All About Math has a Daily Review Tracker checklist specific to each level. This tracker details the skills a student needs to master as she moves through the material. This will help ensure you spend time reviewing only the skills your child needs to review, and you don’t waste time on skills she has mastered.
Every lesson in All About Math Level 5 that introduces a new concept includes a Calina’s Math Fun! game. These games are designed to be played repeatedly to provide an enjoyable, motivating review of the skills taught. Your student will learn to solve division story problems with fraction quotients while building robots. She’ll total checks at a cafe, including making change and collecting tips, while she masters adding and subtracting decimals, and she’ll compete in a heads and tails coin flipping match while she learns to graph data on a coordinate grid! These games and the 38 others will keep your child begging for math review!
Each level of All About Math contains a packet of Math Tools to support learning. The Level 5 Math Tools include engaging resources such as a Finding Simplest Form, Metric Conversions Chart, and Classifying Quadrilaterals Cards. Math Tools, such as the Bar Graph Template, are used in the dry-erase pocket to allow children to understand the complexities of concepts much more easily. Each Math Tool is used for multiple lessons and is printed on durable cardstock to stand up to the task.
Each level includes a set of custom-designed themed stickers that match the Progress Chart and a large sticker showcasing the level’s hero character. Collect all the characters and place them somewhere special!

Yes. The All About Math program continues to be multisensory and includes manipulatives in most lessons, even in Level 5.
Other than the level materials and the Manipulative Kit, the only things you will need are a dry-erase board and markers. We recommend a handheld dry-erase board, but if you have a larger wall board, that works, as well.

Yes, All About Math has review built in to every lesson in multiple ways:
– One way is that new concept lessons (which are about 85% of the lessons) starts with a scripted review of a skill or concept that directly applies to the new concept taught in the lesson.
– Another way is that there are Math Practice pages in new concept lessons in Levels 3 through 5. These activity book pages include 5 or 6 problems covering skills that were mastered previously to keep the skills fresh.
– A third way is that each level has a Daily Review Tracker chart that lists all the skills and concepts a student is to master in a level, including which lesson they are introduced. This chart has room for you to record when each skill is mastered. The DRT allows you to do review on what your child specifically needs to review.
– Levels 2 through 5 start with one or two review lessons that go over concepts learned in previous levels so they are fresh in your student’s mind as you begin a level.
– Each level includes 4 or 5 progress monitoring lessons titled “Show What You Know.” These lessons review all the skills and concepts taught up to that point in the level, and include a chart at the end that details which lesson to refer back to if your child needs more work with a specific concept.
– Every new concept lesson includes an optional Extended Practice activity for more work on a concept either during the lesson, or they can be used as review work if you find later your student needs to review something specific.
– Lastly, every new concept lesson includes a game that can be played again and again to provide a fun way to review and build fluency and ease with the skills.

After All About Math, students should be ready for 6th-grade math. Some students may even be ready for pre-algebra, but it will depend on the student and on the specific program you are looking at. We always recommend taking a placement test when switching math programs.
