says:This is our first year homeschooling. All the signs point to dyslexia for my 8 year old daughter and even teachers she’s had and private dyslexia tutors say so as well. I was at a loss when I seen how much she’s struggling. Luckily another parent at our homeschool co-op community told me about AALP. We haven’t ordered yet but the success stories give me so much hope. Also love that I’ll be able to use for my middle daughter with Autism that is still in public school.

Teresa W
says:Hello! I bought AAS Level 1 YEARS ago and am planning on doing it again with my children. Are all the cards and my teacher manual compatible with the activity book, or would I need to either forgo the activity book or buy a new manual and cards?
Robin E. Williams
says: Customer ServiceGood question, Teresa. If you have the First Edition (black-and-white) All About Spelling Teacher’s Manual, it is unfortunately not compatible with the Activity Book. All the instructions for how to use the activities in the Activity Book are in the Color Edition Teacher’s Manual.
You can opt to use what you have. The First Edition AAS 1 was award winning, and was in print and used by hundreds of thousands of families for over 15 years.
However, the new Color Edition Teacher’s Manuals provide much more support for the teacher and student and incorporate 15 years of customer requests and suggestions. They now include an expanded Introduction section, Before You Begin sections for each lesson, Advanced Application sections for older or advanced students, and extensive appendices for additional spelling reference for the teacher (including a list of spelling rules taught in the current and prior levels). Each level also comes with a student Activity Book, including spelling rules posters, greatly expanded word banks, and Activity Sheets for each lesson. Learn more about the Color Edition for Levels 1 and 2 here.

Caron
says:Excited to be entered in the drawing! We just finished AAS level 1 and are eager to complete more!
Amber
says:My son is really connecting with all about spelling. I love how the lessons are laid out and how he’s getting spelling practice with the tiles and writing.
ASHLEY
says:Would love to try this out. My daughter tested into level 3 but I don’t know if we should get prior levels to master the concepts from the earlier books.
Stacey
says: Customer ServiceThis is a great question, Ashley! If the placement test places her at Level 3, go ahead and purchase level 3. Purchasing the previous levels isn’t necessary. The first lesson in Level 3 will be review of all of the information that is learned in Level 2. You may find there are some things from the review that she hasn’t yet mastered. That’s ok! Keep working on that part of the review lesson until she has it mastered, and then continue on with the lessons.
If you begin to use Level 3 and realize that Level 2 may be a better fit for her, you can always return Level 3 and purchase Level 2 with our Go Ahead and Use It Guarantee. Or you can choose to keep it for after she completes Level 2 as you’ll need it then!
If you’d like personalized guidance on level placement, feel free to email us at [email protected] or call us at 715-477-1976 and we’ll be happy to discuss the right placement for your daughter.
